Bacchus
Bacchus is the Roman God of wine. Bacchus represents the spontaneous and unrestrained aspects of life. At the pantheon of 12 major gods, Bacchus held the last seat at this prestigious table. Although he wasn’t the most powerful, being the god of celebrations, wine, and ecstasy, he was arguably the most popular. Who better to have hanging out at Tipsy Canyon Winery!

Dr. Henrietta Healer
Dr. Henrietta Healer & Dr. Horacio Healer - descendants from the “Plague Doctors”, who were active in the 16 & 17th centuries!! They were often referred to as the “Doctors of Death”.
Well, Dr. Henrietta Healer is very different from her ancestors. She brings positive thoughts and happiness to everyone she encounters! She is visiting the community of Manson during the month of October to sprinkle good cheer and good health to all the people she encounters!!
She plans to visit orchards, vineyards, shops, restaurants and the beautiful parks. She will be stationed out of the Manson Community Library but will be out and about during part of the day to share all of the positive remedies she’s mixed up just for Manson.
You will notice that she has an interesting mask on, similar to what her ancestors wore. The beak of this mask contains a recipe of dried flowers and herbs, which makes a wonderful aromatherapy mixture that helps heal the sick. She is much loved among the people she visits. It’s too bad her ancestors couldn’t have had the life that she does!!

Gus at the Grange
Home, Home on the Grange
Oh give me a home where the people can roam
Where neighbors and friends come to play
Where laughter is heard, and good food is served
And the skies are not cloudy all day.
Home, Home on the Grange
Where scarecrow Gus guards the hay
With shovel in hand by his flower stand
He’d love a selfie with you any day.

J-Rock
J-Rock was a superstar rockstar back in the 1980's. He grew up in Manson, and after his career finished he moved back. He bought a small apple orchard and worked the land. Little did he know that the barn on his property was haunted. His lifeless body was found in his barn on his favorite tractor with the words "this is my land" scratched into the wood flooring. Everyone knew that the ghost of farmer Franklin had done it!

Mary Chase
Here lies Mary. Mary Chase was born in 1806, right here in Manson, WA.
On Halloween Eve, she gathered her friends for their annual fall gathering. Little did she know this would be her last!
They spent the day tasting the fabulous wines in Manson, walking around enjoying her hometown. Allison’s was her favorite last stop to grab some fall décor and last minute gifts. Hours later....
The story is told she went to leave and crashed to the floor, her head fell off right here on our porch! Some say it was the wine, others say she shopped till she dropped! Every Halloween eve locals say they still see her trying to collect her bags and put her head back on to get home. I guess we'll NEVER know! Keep an eye out!

Oscar
The Twisted Scarecrow. Hi, I’m Oscar the Scarecrow. I just arrived in Manson WA. I moved here from far, far away. I’m not sure really why I ended up in Manson but I do love it here. I like traveling and meeting new people.
I am constantly looking ahead into my future with great hopes and dreams. From a young wheat sprout growing in the Midwest, I knew I could never keep myself planted. I needed to uproot myself and let the wind take me where I was meant to be. A tornado ride from Iowa to Nebraska. A corn truck through Nebraska to Wyoming. A hay ride through Wyoming to Montana. And finally, a horse trailer from Montana to Washington, just in time for the Lake Chelan Rodeo.
When I arrived here in Manson WA. I discovered that there was many wineries and a place called “Twisted Cork and Taphouse." I stopped in to enjoy some Octoberfest beer. While there I was told of a job I could get, you see, I have to keep buying straw to keep this body of mine looking good.
I was told to go to a place called “The Haunted Manson” it’s a job that lasts all of October, my favorite time of year. There, I was told that I should enter the scarecrow contest! They say its harvest by day but haunted by night. I bet I could scare some crows away there!!
As I traveled around this world looking for that dream life of scaring crows out of people’s garden, I realized my dream life is right here in my own heart. There is no need to be looking any further then at myself. I’ve come to realize my journey is my dream!

Pumpkin Face Joe
Last month, Joe was on his daily walk through Antheia, when he followed some peculiar noises to the farm. He came upon 3 witches in the pumpkin patch. He told them to leave his patch, but they retaliated by casting spells on him!
One witch cast a spell on him to give him luscious locks of hair.
One witch cast a spell on him to make his bones as strong as straw.
The last witch turned his face into a pumpkin!
So Joe waits in the pumpkin patch with his pumpkin face, and wonders what it will take to return his face to normal. Until then, Joe feels at home with the other pumpkins, and makes sure they each go to good homes throughout harvest.

Willow
Once upon a time, in the enchanting vineyards of Winegirl Wines, there lived a whimsical witch named Willow. Willow was known for her extraordinary potions and her love for all things magical.
One fateful day, while experimenting with a new spell, she accidentally transformed herself into a scarecrow! As a scarecrow, Willow found herself amidst the beautiful vineyards, standing tall among the rows of grapevines. At first, she was bewildered and unable to move or cast spells. But soon, she discovered that her new form had its own unique advantages.
The owners of Winegirl Wines, a warm-hearted family named the Links, were initially startled by the sight of a talking scarecrow. However, when they realized it was the friendly witch they had heard tales about, they welcomed her with open arms.
They saw Willow's transformation as a blessing in disguise, a magical addition to their vineyard. Willow embraced her role as the scarecrow of Winegirl Wines. She watched over the vineyards, protecting the precious grapevines from pests and diseases. With her mystical knowledge, she ensured that each grape grew ripe and juicy, ready to be transformed into delicious wine.
The Link family and their workers quickly grew fond of Willow. They would often gather around her, sharing stories and seeking her advice. Willow became the heart and soul of the vineyard, bringing joy and enchantment to everyone who visited. As the seasons changed, Willow's connection with the vineyard deepened. She learned to sway with the gentle breeze, feeling the warmth of the sun on her straw-filled body.
She reveled in the vibrant colors of the changing leaves and the sweet scent of the ripening grapes. But deep down, Willow yearned to be human again. She missed the touch of soft grass beneath her feet and the freedom to explore the magical world beyond the vineyards. Determined to find a way to break the spell, she embarked on a quest to seek out the legendary Grapevine Guardian.
After a long and adventurous journey through mystical forests and across rolling hills, Willow finally reached the hidden abode of the Grapevine Guardian. The ancient guardian listened to her tale with compassion and understanding. He revealed that there was a way to reverse the spell, but it would require a rare and sacred ingredient—the essence of a moonlit grape.Undeterred, Willow set off on another quest, this time in search of the elusive moonlit grape. She wandered through moonlit nights, guided by the soft glow of the moon in hopes of someday finding the moonlit grape that would change her back.

ZZ Crop
A scarecrow lives in the vines on the hill, people say he came from a little ole town in Texas.
Billy was his poppa's son, when he hit the ground he was on the run (well kinda)
Some say he is a shy ghoulish mop ,others say he is Billy ZZ Top Crop, capable of rattling your bones with a single touch.
Making you scream have mercy.
Many say Billy wasn’t always a monster made from Texas spam,
Others say he was even known as the sharp dressed man.
Most unsuspecting Halloweeners don't realize that Billy ZZ Top Crop isn't just local to the hill and Wine Garden Lane,
He's Bad and He’s Nationwide.
So on this Halloween, when you walk through the vines on the hill, be careful, don’t look at the lantern as it passes.
The only way to ward off the soul bending, bone rattling scare, is to wear some cheap sunglasses!
